Upcoming Programs

April is just around the corner and we have fun programs planned for all age groups.

Pre-School Story Hour: Hatchable Dinosaur Eggs

Tuesday April 7, 2009 @ 1pm or 6pm

Pre-school children 3-5 years old can look forward to a Dino-mite pre-school story hour. Spring stories will be shared, songs, finger plays, and they will make hatchable dinosaur eggs. Please Register.

Teen Gaming

Wednesday April 8, 2009 from 2-4pm

Teens can come show off their skill on the PlayStation and Wii during open gaming. Refreshments will be served.

Spring Break Movie

Thursday April 9, 2009 from 2-4pm

Kids of all ages are invited to watch Beverly Hills Chihuahua (rated PG) on the big screen. Refreshments will be served.

Board Game Fun

Thursday April 9, 2009 @ 4:30pm

School age children, kindergarten through 3rd grade, will hear a story and have fun playing board games. Please Register.

Heart Healthy Workshop

Tuesday April 14, 2009 @ 6:30pm

School age children, 1st through 6th grades, will learn how to combine healthy eating with an active lifestyle. The workshop will be presented by Jennifer Heinrichs, a Physical Education Teacher and Wellness Director, who also has nutrition experience. It will include resources to help school age children start a health program at home.

Twilight Prom Committee

Wednesday April 15, 2009 @ 4pm

Any teen interested in helping me plan the Twilight Prom can join the committee. Refreshments will be served.

Earth Day Celebration

Wednesday April 22, 2009 @ 4:30pm

Pre-teens (9 to 13 year olds) will focus on recycling old materials to make new items. They will make coin purses from used milk, soy, and juice cartons. Cushions created from plastic bags and newspaper, called "sit-upons," will also be made. Participants must bring a carton (including screw top or snap lid) and plastic bag. All other materials will be provided. Teens (14 to 17 year olds) are invited to join in the fun as well. Please register.
