New to the Library

What I really love about working in the library is that I get to see all the new books that come in before they get put on the shelf. This is especially helpful for the children's librarians so that can find really fun books to read at their programs. Here are some new editions to the library. Craft Corner: Carton Coin Purses

Yesterday some of our pre-teens in honor of Earth day made wallets/coin purses using orange juice or milk cartons that had a screw top to it. They turned out really cute and I would have had pictures if the camera was not being temperamental.

To decorate them fabric was glued over the carton to make it look like a real wallet. This is a great way to recycle.
