Elf on the Shelf: Day Two

Hmmm, I'm not sure Jingal should be hanging out with the Mad Hatter.  We don't want him learning to many bad habits!

Elf on the Shelf: Day One

Jingal found his way to our library deer.  Maybe he thinks our deer is a reindeer!  Sorry Jingal, our deer isn't going anywhere.

The Elf on the Shelf Pancake Breakfast

I had never heard of the Elf on the Shelf until this year as I was browsing on Pinterest.  I love that site.  I just knew we needed to ask Santa if we could adopt our own Elf on the Shelf here at the library.  He so graciously agreed.  On December 1st our Elf arrived and he was eager to meet every one and be named.  Our crowd of boys and girls named him Jingal.  Every night Jingal goes home to the North Pole to report to Santa what happens everyday at the library.  He lets him know if the boys and girls and the staff at the library had been naughty or nice.  When he returns back to the library he always ends up in a different spot.  So everyday I will be posting a picture of where he ends up.  Sometimes our Jingal is a mischievous fellow. You can also follow along on Facebook.  Remember...never ever touch your Elf or he losses his magic and he can't report back to Santa.  We don't want that, now do we!

Your Friendly Librarian Wants to Know...

This isn't the question but how many of you out there know about our three blogs, Hobart Township Nook, Book Nook, and Kids Nook? I'm not seeing many hands. The blogs really are a great resource.

You can find recommended reading, craft ideas, photos from programs, and much more. So to win this lovely Be Wise Read a Good Book Tumbler you need to visit our three blogs and tell me what all three have in common. I will give you a hint: They are nocturnal, beautiful, and some say very wise.

But don't cheat because that takes all the fun out of it. If you become a follower of one or more of the blogs you will get your name in the drawing more than one time. Leave your answer here or on one of the blogs but please email me your name, phone number, and if you became a follower so I know how many times to enter your name, lklemm@lcplin.org. Thanks for playing!

Contest ends the 25th.
